Stihl BLK 65?

Post by bulletpruf » Jun 25th, '17, 06:59

All -

Is anyone familiar with the BLK 65? I see references to them, but only on German sites. I was unable to find any information with a search here. Does anyone know how they differ from the BLK 57 and 58?

Thanks,

Scott

I did a search here for BLK and did not find anything on the BLK 65. I asked to see a picture of the ID tag for the one that I found online. If it proves to be a new model BLK, I will certainly post it here.

Thanks

No reply yet. If he sends a picture, I will certainly post it here.

He does have a picture of what appears to be an instruction manual for the Stihl 58, 61, and 65. Saw is said to be from Swiss Army.

Thanks

Yes, the Army saws could have different and later Army names, but this is a BLK-57 as far as I can tell.

Thanks, Magnus. I did not realize the Army saws had different model designations.

I think its not different models, just names I think.
Its done here as well, you find Be-Bo in army lists with different numbers after, I think it the year they got them as there was only one model Bebo in some versions

It says BLK BJ 65... BJ is the abbreviation of "Baujahr" (year of manufacture or model year), so a BLK made in 1965 was offered.
The BLK 57 was produced for the army until the end of the 60ies, I believe.
