Is it true the serial numbers in X-series start at the comet and goes on and on regardless of model.

I heard this several times and from a very good sourse too, so I belive it.

What I can not figure out is when this stops.

I pulled out some Jonny's today and found out that the numbers could work thru all "Raket" saws, not just the X series.

Any thoughts about this?

That does not appear to be true for the US import diesel XC model. Mine is serial number 19. The few other US import models I have seen also had low serial numbers. These models did not use the propane heat for the glow plug. They have two D cell batteries to heat the glow plug. I think this was unique to the US import models.

Yes. The XC is a very special saw!
This is one of those models not meant to be, but are anyway.
